How to make the
Animated Gif |

In the "bell
and whistle" department, my latest toy is Gif Construction Set from Alchemy Mindworks
which converts a flipbook series of .gif files into an animation
like this one the one at the top of this page. It was actually
created in Asymetrix 3D/FX, saved as an .AVI
file, brought into Videdit and saved into a series of .DIBs. I
then, brought the .DIB files into Paint Shop Pro and batch
converted them into .GIF files (with PSP's new .GIF transparency
option.) At this point, the .GIF sequence was brought into GifCon
for using the .GIF89a Control Block coding to combine all the
individual .GIFS into one single file which is what you see
twirling at the top of the page.
